LOCATION The hunting lodges are 2 hrs from the Cordoba Airport and 4 hrs from Montevideo, Uruguay. DOVE HUNTING The most prolific bird present in the Cordoba Province is referred to as the eared dove - named for the dark patch of feathers located on the side of the bird's upper cheek that has the appearance of an ear. The eared dove resembles the mourning dove that most American hunters are used to shooting - if placed side by side, these 2 species are difficult to tell apart. The eared dove thrives in the Cordoba region primarily due to the farming practices and the vast number of roost areas. Recent estimates indicate that there are over 50 million eared doves that reside in the Cordoba Region – more than any other place in the World! ALCOHOL Based off of insurance requirements, safety considerations, convenience and courtesy to other staff or hunters, MGW reserves the right to restrict the use of alcohol in certain conditions or situations at the discretion of whomever is running the lodge. FEE FOR NON-HUNTERS A supplementary fee applies to non-hunters. A non-hunter is someone who meets one of the following: - Does not purchase a hunting license - Does not rent a gun or bring their personal shotgun - Does not shoot at least 50 boxes of shells during the course of their stay CANCELLATION FEES If the group cancels within 90 days of departure, the group forfeits their license fees. If the group cancels outside of 90 days, the license fees will be refunded in full. If the group reschedules, the license fees will apply to the extended period. If a hunt group cancels their confirmed hunt date within 90-days of departure, there will be a $200/hunter re-booking and extension fee.
